About

Advanced emergency communication device — developed at IRNAS Technologies d.o.o. to save lives beyond mobile network coverage.

What is SOS Točka?

SOS Točka is a rugged emergency communication device designed for remote locations where standard mobile networks are unavailable. The device is installed at a fixed location — in mountains, on beaches, cycling routes or ski resorts — and enables immediate calls to rescue services.

The device is fitted with an AED (automated external defibrillator) and communicates over multiple network technologies: LoRaWAN as the primary radio plus 2G/3G/4G, Cat-M1, NB-IoT, on-site Wi-Fi, Starlink and satellite (NTN/Skylo). This guarantees operation even at the hardest-to-reach locations.

The server receives data via the Blues Wireless Notehub platform and alerts the rescue services by SMS to 112 (general emergency) or 113 (police). In parallel, the device can place an automated VoIP voice call over its internet link — for example Starlink — to 112, 113 or the direct line of the regional notification centre (ReCO).

Use Cases

SOS Točka is suitable for any location where people are at risk without access to a mobile network.

Mountain Rescue

Provides mountain huts, hiking and cycling trails with immediate contact to rescue services.

Ski Resorts

Installed at mountain stations for rescue in case of injury or cardiac arrest on ski slopes.

Hiking Trails

On remote hiking trails where mobile network is unavailable.

Coastal Areas

Beaches and coastal cycling routes for rescue in case of drowning or cardiac arrest.

Device Components

SOS Točka is built from high-quality components designed to operate in harsh environmental conditions.

Raspberry Pi Compute Module

Industrial computer for processing and communications management.

Blues Notecard NBGLWX

Cellular / satellite / Wi-Fi communication module (LTE-M, NB-IoT, Skylo NTN) mounted on the Notecarrier-A board. Forwards alerts whenever the LoRaWAN path is unavailable.

Blues Wireless LoRaWAN Notecard

Long-range, low-power LoRaWAN radio mounted directly on the Raspberry Pi HAT. Primary uplink in mountain or remote-coast deployments where cellular coverage is patchy.

Starlink Satellite Terminal

Optional Starlink dish providing high-bandwidth satellite internet. It carries the device's VoIP emergency voice calls and high-volume log and video sync where no terrestrial network reaches.

Solar Panel

Solar power supply with battery backup for uninterrupted monitoring.

Touch Display

Energy-efficient display for showing status, instructions and GPS coordinates.

AED Defibrillator

Automated External Defibrillator integrated with the device for immediate cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
